Inspection Drones
Hextronics Drone
Model: Atlas
Brand: Hextronics
Hextronics designs its drone-in-a-box systems to be drone-agnostic, enabling compatibility with a wide range of commercial UAV platforms.
$28,000
Hextronics also provides the larger, industrial grade Atlas drone docking station, more suited for non-portable, longer range, and heavier payload (and a wider variety of payloads) that work on the DJI Matrice 300 RTK and 350 RTK. Atlas is more suitable for Drone as a First Responder (DFR), infrastructure inspections such as railways, pipelines, power lines, manufacturing facilities, perimeter security and surveillance, and environmental monitoring and construction.
Internal regulated temperature: Maintains between 10 °C and 35 °C (50–95 °F)
Cooling technology: Utilizes a 12 V thermoelectric cooling system operating under 50 W consumption
Environmental resilience: Ensures operational effectiveness in external temperatures ranging from –20 °C to +50 °C (–5 °F to 122 °F)
Physical & Environmental Specs
• Enclosure: Rugged anodized aluminum body, sealed to IP66 standard for dust and water resistance.
• Operating Temperature: Standard range from 5 °C to 35 °C, with optional upgrades allowing –30 °C to +65 °C.
• Weight: Approx. 32 kg (70 lb) for the base unit; upgraded models may reach ~45 kg.
Drone Compatibility & Battery Docking
• Supported UAV: DJI Mavic 2 series.
• Battery Capacity: Base includes storage for 5 additional batteries, kept charged and ready.
